Following the successful box office opening of the movie Karuppu, singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripaada opened up about her experience giving her voice to actress Trisha Krishnan for the film.

An Unspoken Fear:
- Keeping it a Secret: Chinmayi revealed that she was genuinely afraid to share the news that she was dubbing for Trisha this time. Because of previous controversies and industry backlash she has faced in the past, she chose to stay completely silent about her involvement until the movie actually hit theaters.
- Overcoming Anxiety: She admitted to feeling deep anxiety during the recording process, worrying about how people would react or if her participation would create unnecessary trouble for the project.

The Team and Collaboration:
- Reunion with Trisha: Despite her fears, Chinmayi expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity to voice Trisha once again, a pairing that fans have loved in past iconic films like 96 and Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa.
- Director’s Support: She credited the film’s director, RJ Balaji, for standing by his creative choice and providing a safe, comfortable environment for her to complete her work.
With Karuppu performing very well in theaters, Chinmayi expressed relief that her voice was well-received by audiences and that she could finally share her contribution to the movie openly.
