The highly anticipated movie OM: Chapter 1 – Udhiram: The Blood Wood, starring popular actor Dhanush, is making great progress. The movie has officially reached its final phase of shooting, bringing it one step closer to the big screen.
Final Shooting Starts in Malaysia
The production team has moved to Malaysia for the final shooting schedule. This last round of filming is expected to take about two weeks. Once this is finished, the main filming (principal photography) will be completely done. After that, the crew will focus all their attention on post-production work, which includes editing and adding special effects to get the movie ready for theatres.
A Powerful Cast and Crew
Excitement around the film is very high, thanks to a strong team. The movie is being directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, who recently directed the massive hit movie Amaran.
The film also features a star-studded cast, including:

Fans will likely have to wait a little longer to see the movie. Originally, OM: Chapter 1 was scheduled to release in theatres on October 16, 2026. However, the creators want to avoid a massive box office battle with Rajinikanth’s highly awaited sequel, Jailer 2.
To give both movies the best chance at success, the release of OM is being pushed back to a later date. The production team is expected to share an official announcement about the new release date very soon.
