The makers of the upcoming Telugu movie Lenin have surprised fans by releasing the film’s first official teaser. The video was launched on a very special occasion—marking legendary actor Akkineni Nagarjuna completing 40 successful years in the film industry.
Here is all the detailed information and every individual name associated with the movie announcement:
The Cast and Character Transformation
- Akhil Akkineni: He plays the titular lead hero. Returning to the screen after a long break, Akhil appears completely transformed in a rugged new avatar. A massive highlight of the teaser is his authentic dialogue delivery using a Chittoor accent (Rayalaseema dialect). Industry insiders note that this film could be a major turning point for his career.
- Bhagyashri Borse: She plays the female lead opposite Akhil. The teaser highlights her great chemistry with the hero. In a unique opening scene, she is seen acting in a stage play as the mythological character Duryodhana, while a famous dialogue by the legendary actor N T Rama Rao (from the classic film Daana Veera Soora Karna) plays in the background.
- Sivaji: The well-known actor plays the role of Akhil’s father. The emotional father-son relationship is expected to be one of the core highlights of the plot.
Behind-the-Scenes and Creative Team
- Murali Kishor Abburu: He wrote the story and directed the film, marking his second directorial project. He previously directed the movie Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha (which starred Kiran Abbavaram).
- Nagarjuna Akkineni and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi: They are producing the project.
- Thaman S (S Thaman): The popular musician composed the background score and music, which heavily elevates the teaser’s impact.
- Leon Britto: Handles the cinematography.
- Naveen Nooli: Serves as the film’s editor.
Production Banners and Release Date
- The movie is produced under the joint banners of Manam Enterprises LLP and Sithara Entertainments, and it is presented by Annapurna Studios.
- In past production updates, actress Sreeleela was initially signed as the leading lady and had even filmed a few scenes, but she had to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts before Bhagyashri Borse replaced her.
- Although Lenin is marketed as a commercial action-entertainer dealing with deep themes like rural honor killings, the teaser focuses heavily on fun elements, romance, and an ending shot hinting at a hero on a mission to hunt down the villain.
Lenin is officially locked for a grand worldwide theatrical release next month on June 26.
