Telugu actor Allari Naresh is returning to his iconic comedy genre with his upcoming movie, Ramba Oorvasi Menaka. Ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on September 4, 2026, the makers have officially secured the digital streaming platform for the film.
The digital streaming rights for Ramba Oorvasi Menaka have been acquired by the popular OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Following its theatrical run, the film will be made available for online streaming to subscribers on this platform.
Storyline and Key Highlights
Written and directed by Chandra Mohan Chintada, Ramba Oorvasi Menaka is an out-and-out fantasy comedy entertainer centered around a unique, cosmic plot:
- The Plot: The story follows a drama company owner whose father spends 25 years trying to bring celestial beauties (apsaras) from heaven to Earth using a special pattern from an ancestral magical book. When Ramba, Oorvasi, and Menaka finally arrive, instead of pure joy, it triggers a chain of hilarious, chaotic events.
- Return to Fantasy: This project marks Allari Naresh’s return to the fantasy comedy genre after 14 years (following his 2012 hit Yamudiki Mogudu). His role features a rural setting with natural comedy timing and a spoof sequence referencing the film OG.
- Censor & Tagline: Taglined “Comedy Goes Cosmic,” the film cleared censor hurdles with a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
