Renowned director Trivikram Srinivas and music composer S. Thaman have delivered several major musical hits together in Telugu cinema, including Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, and Guntur Kaaram. Their collaboration—especially Thaman’s energetic background scores—has consistently been a major highlight for fans.
However, recent updates regarding Trivikram’s upcoming projects have led to widespread rumors about whether their successful musical partnership has come to an end.
A New Direction for Adarsha Kutumbam
For his project Adarsha Kutumbam, a family entertainer starring Venkatesh Daggubati and produced by Haarika & Hassine Creations, Trivikram decided not to collaborate with Thaman. Instead, he selected young composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar (known for his work in Animal and Arjun Reddy).
This sudden change surprised fans and sparked industry rumors suggesting creative differences between Trivikram and Thaman.
Reports indicate two main reasons behind this decision:
- Busy Schedule: Thaman has been occupied with multiple major projects, and Trivikram wanted a composer who could dedicate focused time to the film’s music sessions.

Putting an end to the speculation, S. Thaman clarified that the decision to take a break was mutual and made on good terms.
- Mutual Agreement: Thaman explained that both he and Trivikram felt it was time for a short break to explore fresh creative directions.
- Trivikram’s Vision: Trivikram wanted to try a new musical team for Adarsha Kutumbam to offer audiences a different experience.
- No Bad Blood: Thaman emphasized that there are no personal differences or clashes between them. In fact, he previously shared how Trivikram stood by him like “Mount Everest” during heavy social media backlash during the production of Guntur Kaaram.
Future Plans: God of War
Thaman confirmed that their working relationship is far from over. He revealed that he will be reuniting with Trivikram for the director’s ambitious upcoming film, God of War (a massive mythological epic project based on Lord Kartikeya/Lord Murugan, also linked in rumors with actor NTR).
While some industry reports speculated that composers like Anirudh Ravichander or A.R. Rahman might be considered for Trivikram’s future scale projects, Thaman assured fans that he and Trivikram will continue to make music together after this brief interlude.
