The Telugu crime action drama KJQ: King Jackie Queen has officially made its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video, coming just three weeks after its theatrical release on August 7, 2026. Although the film failed to create a strong impact at the box office during its original run, it is now seeking a fresh response from online audiences.
Cast and Crew Details
The movie stars Deekshith Shetty and Yukti Thareja in key roles. It also marks the acting debut of Shashi Odela, who is the brother of Srikanth Odela (the director of The Paradise).
KJQ: King Jackie Queen was directed by the late filmmaker KK (Kiran Kumar), who sadly passed away before seeing his final directorial project reach the screen. The film’s music and soundtrack were composed by Poornachandra Tejaswi.
Production and Storyline
The project was produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner—the same production house behind successful projects like Dasara and The Paradise.
Set against the gritty backdrop of the 1990s, the story centers on three main characters who become trapped in a dangerous web of crime, power dynamics, and personal conflicts.
Expanded OTT Experience
While KJQ: King Jackie Queen was screened exclusively in the Telugu language during its initial theatrical run, the digital streaming release offers expanded audio options. Viewers on Amazon Prime Video can now watch the film with dubs in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, alongside the original Telugu version. This expansion allows the movie to reach a wider multilingual audience across streaming platforms.
With its digital launch now underway, time will tell whether KJQ: King Jackie Queen can gain redemption among OTT viewers or follow the same path as its theatrical run.
